These illustrations were the result of a project in which the artist had to persuade the viewer. The topic of satirizing Donald Trump's ridiculous tweets was chosen and then formatted to appear as it might on a news website.
Screenprint on linen. 2016.
For this project I decided to draw inspiration from one of my favorite places, New York City. This piece was created by digitally altering a satellite image of the city and superimposing it over various shapes created by outlining the subway lines. This was then created into a pattern and was printed via a series of stencils. The colors were chosen to convey the bright, loud, vibrant nature of New York City.
Digital media, poster 17"x22", handbill & program 5.5"x8.5" double sided. 2016
Created for a Typography course, the assignment was to create a poster, handbill, and program based on a real concert series. The project involved research to gain an understanding of the musician's thesis in order to create a series that would encompass their work.
