In The Weeds is my senior thesis which has been created and revised over the course of eight months. I wanted to create a short graphic novel detailing my experiences with food - specifically the way in which I alleviate my own anxieties by cooking.
In The Weeds is a collection of three vignettes each marked with their own in-color recipe relating to each story. While a small sampling is shown here, the full project is thirty six pages in length.

As a response to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting I created this series of postcards featuring a quote from one of the student activists paired with a symbolic plant. Thyme symbolizes courage and strength, yellow Carnations are disappointment and rejection, and Black-eyed Susans represent justice.
Designed with accessibility in mind, these postcards are available to download and print out. Each has the names and addresses of all the representatives who have accepted donations from the NRA. Users can easily find their state, print out their postcard, write a message, fold and tape the edges of the paper and send off. By doing this the user turns commemorating these student leaders into an active moment rather than a passive one.

The challenge for this piece was to create a three page comic based on the theme "outsiders". In this case I wanted to exemplify feeling like an outsider even among close friends.

Hard Hitter is a short personal project inspired by Google's #HerStoryOurStory. #HerStoryOurStory was created to showcase stories from women internationally. I was motivated to share my own, thus the creation of Hard Hitter. Following the format of the Google Doodle, Hard Hitter recounts my own experience overcoming unfairness and prejudice for being a woman.

This iBook was created based on the prompt to re-tell a classic children's story. The idea emerged to tell the story of a young woman interacting with some of the more modern "wolves". The full iBook file features sound and simple html animations created using Hype. The full iBook can be downloaded here.
